Power of intention

Today I am thinking about the power of intention. In the fall of 2007, at the beginning of my most intense period of spiritual development to date, my friend and psychic coach Jennifer Farmer gave me some good advice. She said that I should write down exactly the outcomes I wished to have in the future, and I should write them as though they were already true. And then I should put them up where I would see them every day.

This is what I wrote and posted on my office wall:

I HELP PEOPLE

MY WORK IS EASY AND NATURAL

I AM A HEALER

I AM A PSYCHIC READER

PEOPLE SEEK ME OUT

I HAVE A PRACTICE

I AM RESPECTED IN THIS FIELD

I AM LOVED AND SUPPORTED

As time passed I stopped consciously seeing my list until it caught my eye just recently. People, I have to tell you that every one of my intentions is now my reality! It happened without any great effort on my part other than my original expectation that it would happen.

I absolutely do recommend that you try this at home!  Results may be spectacular!

I have some quotes scotch-taped to my office door. I like to put up words that inspire or tickle me, like these three. Enjoy!

Self-criticism, like self-administered brain surgery, is perhaps not a good idea
(author unknown to me)

If you really feel that you want to have an off-the-shoulder blouse and some big beads and thong sandals and a dirndl skirt and a magnolia in your hair, do it. Even if you are wrinkled.
Maya Angelou

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.
Frederick Nietzsche
