The Curandero, The Galactic, and Me

Bobby seems like a funny name for him, the curandero.  Perhaps it’s too commonplace for a wise man who has studied with shamans in places like Peru and Columbia, but there it is, his name, Bobby Sanchez.  He’s a gifted healer, a teacher, a holder of wise and ancient knowledge rooted in the traditions of the Aztec and the Maya.  Toss in further influences of the Spanish, Greeks, Arabs, Africans, and Native Americans and there you have him–The Curandero.  The Healer.  Yep.  Bobby.

I mentioned a while back that I was drawn to him for a reading; it was one of those odd times when you absolutely recognize someone you’ve never seen before.  He told me then that there were changes coming for me, excellent and exciting changes soon after the new year, a stepping up of my own ability and my understanding of what I am here to do.  But he also said that I am not yet prepared for it.  It was apparent to both of us within a moment of our meeting that he is the one to do the preparing.  The teacher.  It is always my experience that when I am ready to take the next step, the proper teacher will appear.

He said that I must become much more strongly grounded, and that my vibration, although high, must be raised again to accommodate what is coming.  And I would need a boost in inner balance and harmony.  The first attunement I ever received was in the healing modality of reiki a few years ago.  That opened me up to little miracles of development that led to my ability to channel healing energy and do psychic readings.

This new attunement is in the modality of galactic healing.  I know of any number of healing modalities, but had never heard of anything galactic.  I signed up and the first of three sessions took place last Friday night.

This ancient knowledge was brought to earth from “out there,” hence the name galactic.   The form that is in use today was perhaps “rediscovered” in 1999 by Shelley Kaehr, Ph.D.  She has books, so you may go to her for details if you are interested.

This modality uses five elements and their symbols, plus a sixth symbol for balance.  You know them:  Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Spirit.  In the attunement I received the symbols, first for my own healing but also as tools for healing others.  At the same time I was deeply grounded and my vibration was raised.  I got up from Bobby’s table quite profoundly different from the time I lay down on it, although it was really only a few minutes’ work on his part.

Getting your vibration raised is a, well, a weird experience.  I actually feel myself vibrating now.  The best description is this:  sit behind the wheel while your car is idling and put your hands lightly on the steering wheel.  The vibration you feel is sort of like what I feel.  All the time.  Some other people can feel it too, like THWAM, who felt my changed vibration the minute I walked in the door after the class on Friday.

There is a downside, and it has to do with the ringing in my ears.  I’ve always had tinnitis, and the reiki attunement raised the pitch and volume to new heights.  This galactic  attunement has done it again, so that every waking hour is accompanied by very loud, very high non-stop screeching.  I have yet to find a remedy, although the use of boji stones has been suggested (look them up) and I may try that.  Or maybe it’s meant to be an exercise in overcoming distractions and carrying on?  I don’t know.  Yet.

So now I have a certificate of completion for GALACTIC HEALING LEVEL ONE.  You can be sure that I’ll be going for levels two and three, beginning in January.  As always when new doors are opening, I can hardly wait to see what’s on the other side.

I’ve always been resistant to laying on your table because, well, that would just be weird. But reading this, I suddenly got the impulse to talk to you about my lungs.

It’s often true that impulses should not be resisted! You know where to find me, and I love to talk.

Thank you for the kind words my friend! Call me some time!
